Common questions

How many cards does a 9-pocket binder hold?

Most 9-pocket zip binders have 20 double-sided sheets. That's 40 pages and 360 cards, one card per pocket. Every Ravaver 9-pocket binder holds 360.

How many binders do I need for a master set?

It depends on the set. Recent master sets run from about 150 cards (Shrouded Fable) to over 500 (Fusion Strike). Pokemon 151 comes to 360, so it fills one 9-pocket binder exactly. Surging Sparks comes to 417, so it needs two 9-pocket binders or one 12-pocket. Pick your set in the calculator above to see yours.

How many cards are in the 30th Celebration set?

161 numbered cards: 128 in the main set plus 33 secret rares. There are no reverse holos, so the master set is also 161, which fits in one 9-pocket binder. The 30-card Classic Collection is tracked separately.

Do double-sleeved cards take up more space?

Not in pocket count. It's still one card per pocket. What matters is pocket depth. Ravaver card binders have pockets deep enough for an inner and outer sleeve, so the count stays the same. Cards in 3" x 4" toploaders need a toploader binder.

How many toploaders fit in a toploader binder?

Ravaver toploader binders hold 252 standard 3" x 4" toploaders: 9 per page, 28 pages. Graded slabs are thicker and don't fit.

9-pocket or 12-pocket for a full set?

A 12-pocket binder fits more on each page (480 total), so bigger sets stay in one book. A 9-pocket page is the standard most checklists and placeholder sheets are made for, and each card shows a little bigger.

4-pocket or 9-pocket?

A 4-pocket binder holds 160 and is small enough for a backpack, so it suits chase cards and trade nights. A 9-pocket binder holds 360 and suits whole sets that stay at home.

How are master sets counted here?

Every numbered card in the set, secret rares included, plus one standard reverse holo of each card that has one. Special reverse patterns, like Poké Ball, Master Ball and Energy versions, aren't included. If you collect those too, switch to Card count and add them.
